Our 12th grade student Sıla Nur Yorulmaz received a full scholarship from Harvard University!

Sıla Nur will continue her education at Harvard University, where she received early acceptance as a result of her studies in the field of physics, the social responsibility projects she has taken part in, her perseverance and determination.

Sıla Nur, who is one of the organizers of UAA ARC, a scientific research conference for high school students, mentors middle school students within the framework of the STEM & Buds organization, teaches Turkish and mathematics to primary and middle school students with limited financial means, has an article based on her research on quantum chaos, a multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle design and a filter that maximizes carbon dioxide absorption.

Sıla Nur says that she plans to take part in research on quantum computers after graduation and aims to use the potential of quantum to improve the quality of life of people.

Regarding her success story, Sıla Nur said the following:

"Being an Üsküdar American student has been a great advantage both academically and socially. I can say that the clubs and activities that enabled me to discover my interests made me more than just an academically successful student, but an individual who is intertwined with life.

I am grateful to my school, to my teachers who have always supported me in pursuing my dreams, who have always been behind me in my projects, who have never lost their interest and support for a moment, and to my university counselors who never left me unanswered despite their intensity during the application process, who always trusted and believed in me and helped me find the courage to apply to Harvard University."

We sincerely congratulate our student on this important achievement, we are proud of her and we look forward to more good news.
