International Model UN Conference in Turkey, the first school that regulate UAL, the conference was this year hosted 24 times. A total of 400 high school students from 31 schools participated in the conference, which was held in order to educate students to be global citizens who are sensitive to world problems. This year's theme for the TIMUN Conference, a conference on policy and human rights that creates a genuine UN environment for students, was set forth as "Building Bridges". The students of Konferansta were in negotiations on disarmament, human rights, environment, legal, private politics, and they called for solutions to world problems and drafted law designs. Many of the agenda items were addressed by the protesters in terrorism, child laborers, population increase from war refugees. In addition, donations were collected for the benefit of the Hope for Cancer Children Foundation.
