Students are taught Spanish at a beginners' level. The aim is to teach students the basic grammar and vocabulary of their second foreign language after English; to enable them to understand and use simple sentences and to develop their speaking and writing skills.

By the end of the year students will have covered the past, present and future tenses, they will be able to express themselves and will be ready to sit the Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) at level A1.
