With our Foreign Languages program we aim to educate our students to:

 

• Participate in daily conversations;
• Understand written texts, events, wishes and emotions that include every-day or work-related vocabulary;
• Be able to communicate and cope with problems while travelling;
• Clearly express and relate experiences, dreams, wishes and desires;
• Be able to express their own plans and impressions or summarize books and films.
• Be able to write articles about topics of interest and letters expressing their own opinions and describing their interests, experiences and observations;
• Learn about the writers, philosophers and poets of the foreign language that they are studying;
• After learning a second foreign language, be interested in and show respect for other languages, cultures and people;
• Work as a member of a team on projects, knowing how to collaborate and share with others;
• Be able to use information technology; to evaluate, interpret and apply information correctly; and to create new ideas;
• As an individual who speaks a second foreign language, be willing to participate in activities that benefit the environment and society;
• Understand Atatürk’s principles and reforms and be able to discuss them in their second foreign language.
