Students are taught German at a beginners' level. The aim is to teach students the basic grammar and vocabulary of their second foreign language after English; to enable them to understand and use simple sentences and to develop their speaking and writing skills.

By the end of the year students will be able to express themselves in the past, present and future tenses and will be ready to sit the Goethe Certificate in German (Fit in Deutsch) at level A1-A2.

 

PREP (Advanced Level)
 

Periods per week: 4

In this program students begin at a more advanced level than the beginners’ level. The aim is to develop their existing German knowledge and to improve their reading, understanding, listening and speaking skills.

By the end of the year students will be able to express themselves using the past, present and future tenses and will be ready to sit the Goethe Certificate in German at level A2-B1
